MEET HILA MRAD

Welcome to my homepage. I'm Hila Mrad, a Tel Aviv-based artist and painter.

I was born and raised in Tiberias and art has always been a source of expression and creation for me.

Femininity, relationships and Israeli culture are the subjects of my paintings.

My career began in the world of cinema and animation. 
During my time in Pitchi-Poy studio, I created, supervised, and produced a wide range of animation and content projects, including animation series for the broadcasting corporation, content for visitor centers and museums, full-length films, and advertisements.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to explore new horizons and change directions. 

​Today I focus on new technologies and produce content for multiple types of media.​

Following the outbreak of war in Israel after October 7, I represented my country in the “Kyoto Art Festival” in the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (Kyoto, Japan). My artworks reflect dark emotions, perspectives of loss and sorrow. 

My goal was to bring forth dialogue, gain recognition for the challenging situation in my home country and to express the desire for peace. 

​My paintings were awarded for creating a connection and dialogue.
