MEET HILA MRAD

Welcome to my homepage. I'm Hila Mrad,  an artist and painter based in Israel.

Born and raised in Tiberias, art has always been a source of expression and creation for me.

My paintings focus on themes of femininity, relationships, and Israeli culture.

I began my career in the world of cinema and animation. During my time at Pitchi-Poy Studio, I created, supervised, and produced a wide range of projects, including animation series for national broadcasters, content for visitor centers and museums, full-length films, and advertisements.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to explore new horizons and change directions.

Today, I focus on new technologies and produce content for multiple types of media.

​

Following the events of October 7, I represented Israel at the Kyoto Art Festival in the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, twice: in December 2023, shortly after the attack, and in October 2024, while the war was still ongoing.

My works in the exhibition reflected dark emotions, perspectives of loss and sorrow, alongside a desire for hope and dialogue.

My paintings were awarded for their ability to foster meaningful connection and conversation.
